Melinda Messenger Calls on local lads to help her out!

Harrogate Company Simply Screed was surprised to get a call for help from Melinda Messenger and co-star Dominic Littlewood of Channel 5’s renovation rescue program.

Paul McGrath and Damian Griffin, Directors of Simply Screed received a call from the shows Steve Russell of D2D Builders desperately wanting help to rescue a Lincoln based family whose home had fallen victim to ‘Cowboy Builders’.

Local lads Paul McGrath, who is a Gas Engineer by trade and Builder Damian Griffin, have a combined experience of over 20 years in the building and construction industry.

Paul McGrath said “so many home owners fall foul to rogue tradesmen especially in today’s economic climate when competition is fierce and these cowboys lead them to believe they are getting a cut price deal. We supported Melinda’s cause because we want the public to know that there are a lot of genuine tradesmen and women out there that will deliver a great honest service.”

The producers of the program had searched Britain to find a company willing to help them out and Damian said “we could not let this family down! We went to Lincoln to visit the site and after seeing the disastrous state the home had been left in, we offered to immediately rectify it by offering our services as a goodwill gesture.”
